Forrest Meat Processing was opened in November 1969 by Ivan "Buck" and Delta Forrest. It relocated business from in town to where it is now in November 1974. Rick and June Forrest purchased the business from his parents in October 1990.
Due to thriving business, renovations were needed to stay ahead of retail sales and processing demands. New renovations include a new packaging room, storage room and enlarging the processing area. We just purchased some new machinery in the Fall of 2007. A new vacuum stuffer and linker. It has been a great asset to our business already.
Rick and June Forrest own the business ,they have two children (3rd generation) Son, (Shane Forrest and wife Sarah), who is following his dream to be a cop. Daughter, (Miranda Hooker and husband John) who are following their dreams striving to help the family business thrive. Rick and June five grandchildren (4th generation) Dylan, Leah, Brandt, Andrew & Bryar that are a true blessing.
We custom process Beef, Hogs, Sheep, Goats, Bison and Deer. We are a state inspected facility. We do retail sales, internet sales, wholesale, private label, variety of specialty products (many bratwurst, ready to eat products, bologna, summer sausage, snack sticks, fully cooked brisket and pulled pork). We also do local catering including serving, delivering and just for pick up.
